Separation of N-Methylhydroxamic Fatty Acids Based on Ketapang Seed Oil using High Performance Liquid Chromatography

N-methyl fatty hydroxamic acids (N-MFHAs) is a derivative of acid (FHA), were synthesized from ketapang seed oil (Terminalia catappa L.) with hydroxylamine enzymatically using immobilized lipase (Lipozyme TL IM). N-MFHAs that are still in mixed state triglycerides the oil. This research aims to determine optimum conditions for separation into their single components and percentage composition High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC). The specification HPLC system includes reverse phase column SGE C-18 ODS-2 UV detector 213 nm. include mobile methanol 100% flow rate 0.25 mL/minutes an injection volume 20 µL sample concentration 10.000 ppm. successfully separated linoleoyl-methyl-fatty (13.09%), oleoyl-methyl-fatty (62.46%), palmitoyl-methyl-fatty (19.51%), stearoyl-methyl-fatty (4.93%).
